How to Set Up a Pre-Order Menu

    1. 1. Create the Menu

      1. Go to Menu Manager
      2. Click Add New Menu
      3. Enter the Menu Title
      4. Select Full Feature
      5. Choose the Price Type:
        • Normal → items priced individually
        • Fixed Price → e.g. £50 for 3 courses
      6. Set Menu Type to Standard (unless linked to a promo or event)
      7. Click Add

      2. Set Pre-Order Rules

      1. On the Menu Details screen:
      2. Tick Pre Order Required
      3. Set Pre Order Required Trigger
        • This is the minimum number of covers required before pre-order is triggered
        • Example: set to 8 → only bookings of 8+ will require pre-orders
      4. Set Pre Order Cutoff (hours)
        • How many hours before the booking the pre-order must be completed

      3. Add Menu Content

      1. Select Menu Content
      2. Enter a Section Title (e.g. Starters) and click Add
      3. Click Manage on the section
        • This is where you will add items to that section
        • You can also add a Section Subtitle here (click save after entering)

      4. Add Menu Items

      1. Enter:
        • Item Title
        • Item Description
        • Item Price
      2. Select any relevant allergens
      3. Click Add Item

      5. Add Options / Extras (Optional)

      (Only available if Pre Order Required is enabled)

      1. Scroll to your item and click Options
      2. Enter an Option Title (e.g. How would you like your steak cooked?)
      3. Click Add Option Group
      4. Click Add A Group Option to add choices (e.g. Rare, Medium, Well Done)

      You can also:

      • Make options mandatory
      • Allow multiple selections
      • Set limits per customer

      Pricing options:

      • Add a price in the price box → customer is charged during pre-order
      • Leave the price box empty → no charge at pre-order stage
      • If you want the price to show but not charge, add the price into the item title instead
      1. Click Save Changes

      6. Edit Items & Order

      • To edit an item: click into the field, update it, then click Save
      • Use the Order ID to control display order (1, 2, 3, etc.)

      7. Set Menu Availability

      1. Go to Menu Times
      2. Enter:
        • Start & End Dates
        • Start & End Times (make sure the correct days are selected)

      8. Upload or Create a PDF (Optional)

      • Go to Menu PDF
      • Click Browse to upload a file
      • Or select Create to build one in the system

This video is for a fixed priced full feature menu, if your menu is not fixed priced another field will show when you are entering each dish. Add the price without the £ for example if a dish was £12.99 please put 12.99
