Adding a Menu

  • To add a new menu:
    1. Go to menu manager
    2. Add new menu
    3. Enter the menu title
    4. Choose whether you want the menu to be a full feature menu (pre-orderable) or text only menu (non pre-orderable). Please note that if you are wanting to take pre orders then the menu will need to be full feature if not, you can do it as a text only. This cannot be changed once you have created the menu.

    If you are doing the menu as a full feature (pre-orderable) menu:

    1. Select Full Feature
    2. Select price type
    3. Normal if everything is priced individually
    4. Fixed price if for example its £50 for 3 courses
    5. Menu type needs to be standard, unless it is linked to a promo or event.
    6. Click Add
    7. On the next screen Menu Details you can set up whether you want to take pre orders, pre payments etc.
    8. To enter the menu content select Menu Content
    9. Enter a section title – for example Starters and click add
    10. You will see that starters has dropped down underneath
    11. To edit this section select Manage
    12. On the next screen you can enter a section subtitle (you need to click save once you’ve entered this)
    13. To add an item – enter item title, item description, item price. You can also select the allergens by ticking the box next to the relevant option. Once you have done this click Add Item
    14. Once you had clicked add, if you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see the item that you have just added listed here.
    15. If you would like to add options to your item such as cook of steak, just follow the below. If not just carry on to point 16
      • Scroll down to the item you have added
      • Click Options
      • Give your option a title e.g. cook on steak then click add option group
      • This will now appear below. Add your options individually then click add option
      • You can make these options mandatory if you wish, allow multiples and limit them per customer
      • Once you have finished adding your options, click save changes
    16. You can edit the item by clicking in the box, typing over what is already there and then clicking save.
    17. Repeat the above steps until you have added the full menu. You may have noticed that there is an order ID box next to the section titles and also the item titles. This determines in what order the items appear on the menu. You just need to list them with a number 1,2,3,4 etc.
    18. To set the times and says that this menu is available – select Menu Times
    19. Enter start and end date
    20. Enter start and end time – you must select the day which the time applies to
    21. If you have a PDF of the menu you can add this by selecting Menu PDF at the top of the screen
    22. Select browse and upload
    23. If you haven’t got a PDF and want to create one you can do so by selecting Create

    If you are doing the menu as a Text Only (non pre-orderable menu):

    1. Select Text Only
    2. Menu type can be left as Standard
    3. Click Add
    4. On the next screen Menu Details you can set up whether you want to take pre payments etc
    5. To enter the menu content select Menu Content
    6. Copy and paste your menu into the text box and edit as necessary
    7. Click Save
    8. To set the times and says that this menu is available – select Menu Times
    9. Enter start and end date
    10. Enter start and end time – you must select the day which the time applies to

This video is for a fixed priced full feature menu, if your menu is not fixed priced another field will show when you are entering each dish. Add the price without the £ for example if a dish was £12.99 please put 12.99
