Amending Pre-Existing Tables

Use this guide to update table settings in your venue, including covers, occupancy limits, booking modes (venue-only, walk-in-only, non-bookable), and required follow-ups.

Steps

  1. Go to Manage Venue.

  2. Select Manage Tables.

  3. Click Manage on the room you want to update.

  4. In the table list, amend Covers (max occ), Min Occ as needed.

  5. Choose the table’s booking mode (see below).

  6. Click Save.

Tips

  • Covers: maximum number of seats at the table. Largest party size the system can seat there (often equals Covers; set lower if you want to restrict).

  • Min Occ: smallest party size the system can seat there.

Booking modes & table options

Booking modes (pick one per table)

  • Venue Only: Click VENUE ONLY (bookable by staff; not by customers online).

  • Walk-In Only: Click WALK IN ONLY (held for walk-ins; not bookable online).

  • Non-bookable: Set Min Occ = 99 to ensure the system never allocates this table unless you manually override it.

Additional table options

  • Priority: Tells the system which tables to use first. Note: once you start getting busy, the system will stop using your priorities.

  • Published: Hides the table from being used at all.

  • Dining: Makes the table available for all dining bookings.

  • Drinking: Makes the table available for all drinking bookings (only if this setting is enabled in Venue Settings).

  • Order: Puts the tables in numerical order in the grid.

  • TPID: Please ignore.

  • Shape: Set the shape of the table.

Required follow-up checks

1) Check your Table Groups (not updated automatically)

Changes to tables do not update Table Groups. Review and update groups so they reflect your new setup (remove deleted tables, add new ones, adjust capacities).
See: Amending Table Groupshttps://togosupport.co.uk/amending-table-groups/

2) Reallocate tables (prevents orphaned bookings)

If you delete tables, make tables non-bookable, or reduce a table’s cover size, reallocate for each date that has bookings:

  1. Open the Live Console.

  2. Click the cog icon.

  3. Click Delete Shuffle Locks.

  4. Click Deallocate All Tables.

  5. Click Smart Allocate.
