How to create discounted vouchers

You can offer discounted vouchers throughout the year. A popular example is a Black Friday promotion where you sell vouchers at a reduced rate for a limited time.

Example

Before creating vouchers, you must have a payment gateway set up. If you do not have one yet, please follow the separate guide on how to set up a payment gateway.

Setting up your vouchers

Follow these steps to create your discounted vouchers.

1. Go to Manage Vouchers

2. Select Voucher Settings

3. If you already have vouchers set up, you can skip steps 4, 5 and 6

4. Add an image on the left side. This will appear on all vouchers

5. Set a Voucher Expiry. This applies to all vouchers unless you override it later

6. Tick the option for postal delivery and set a postage cost if required. If you leave this unticked, all vouchers will be E Vouchers

7. On the right side, enter the voucher Title. For example: Get £60 for the price of £50. Black Friday Deal

8. Enter the Value of the voucher. This should be the amount the customer will pay. For example, if the voucher is £80 for £60, the value you enter should be £60

9. Add a Description if you want to. This is optional

10. Select Add Option to create the voucher

You can create as many vouchers as you need.

Editing a voucher

After creating a voucher, select Edit next to it. A pop up window will appear with additional options.

Buy by link only

If you tick this box, the voucher will be removed from your normal voucher page, meaning it will no longer appear with your standard vouchers. This creates a dedicated link for that voucher only.
Important notes
• You must add www.togo.uk.com to the beginning of the link and make sure there are no spaces
• If you choose this option for multiple vouchers, you will need separate individual links for each one
• These vouchers cannot be grouped together at this time

Other editing options

• Valid from and valid to dates. Override your global voucher expiry if needed
• Custom image. Use a different image instead of your generic voucher image
• Max available. Set a limit on how many can be sold

To stop selling a voucher, delete it from the Voucher Settings page. Already purchased vouchers will remain in your system for redemption.

Showing your voucher on your website or social media

If you want the voucher to appear with your normal vouchers

1. Go to Manage Vouchers

2. Select Voucher Settings

3. Select Buy Vouchers

4. Copy the link from your browser

5. Add this link to your website or social media. All vouchers, including discounted ones, will appear together

If you want a dedicated link for a specific voucher

1. Go to Manage Vouchers

2. Select Voucher Settings

3. Select Edit next to the voucher

4. Tick Buy by link only

5. Copy the link shown, add www.togo.uk.com to the beginning and remove any spaces

6. Use this link anywhere you want to promote that specific voucher only

Selling vouchers directly at your venue

You can sell vouchers on site and accept cash or PDQ payments.

If the voucher appears with your normal vouchers

1. Go to Manage Vouchers

2. Select Buy Vouchers

3. Complete the purchase journey

4. Select Flag As Paid

If the voucher has a dedicated link only

If Buy by link only is ticked, the voucher will not appear on your normal Buy Vouchers page.
To purchase on behalf of a customer, the venue must follow the dedicated link for that voucher.

Important

The system cannot automatically publish or unpublish vouchers on specific dates or times.
Any publishing or removal of vouchers must be done manually by the venue.
